Cincinnati’s Net Zero Police Station Wins Gold

LET Magazine announced Cincinnati’s District 3 Police Station as the winner of the first annual Law Enforcement Design Awards (LEDA) program in its December 2020 issue. The Net Zero police station received the top prize, the Gold award, by the LEDA judges. The award program recognizes outstanding architecture and design from law enforcement and public safety facilities nationwide. District 3 is also featured on the cover of the December issue of LET Magazine.

emersion DESIGN today announced the appointment of Michael Chapman as a managing member. In addition, Alan Hautman transitions to chief operations officer (COO) and Chad Edwards moves to president and chief executive officer (CEO). The C-suite appointments become effective December 2020. Chapman’s role is effective immediately.

From Aircraft Hangar to Advanced Power and Thermal Research Lab

Building 23 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base was originally constructed in 1934 as an aircraft hangar and aircraft component test facility. While it had many uses over the years, it had languished and sat abandoned. But, the leaders at WPAFB had a vision to convert this historic structure into a 53,000 square foot modern laboratory facility, where state-of-the-art research could be conducted for energy, power, and thermal management to support current and future Air Force applications.
